Next, he prepares your teeth by shaving off a very thin layer of enamel. The amount of enamel he removes is equivalent to the thickness of the veneers themselves; they’re incredibly thin.

Once your teeth are prepared, he takes an impression of your smile and sends it to a lab. The lab uses your impression to fabricate your veneers, so they fit snugly on your teeth and comfortably in your mouth. You wear a set of temporary veneers while you wait for your permanent sets to come back from the lab.

You come back for a final visit once your permanent veneers are ready. Dr. Keihani places them on your teeth, checks that they fit well and look great, then seals them in place with dental cement. You leave the office with a brand-new smile that you’ll be excited to share with the world.
